Black Cyclone
The fastest cyclist in the world - The Black Cyclone.
In 1896, Marshall “Major” Taylor finished the Six Day Bicycle Race in Madison Square Garden after having completed a record of 2.800km on a 160m track velodrome. Finishing is not even the right word for this accomplishment as surviving was more correct. Half of the field dropped out because of crashes, exhaustion, or crazy hallucinations.
Striking fact was that Marshall was only 18 and it was his first professional race. He was also the only African American in the otherwise all-white field on the track.
Bike racing was huge at the time of Taylor’s pro debut. Big stadium tracks and a national race circuit brought in big noisy crowds to see how long athletes could last or how fast they might go. The best riders were featured on cigarette packs and buttons or iconized in bike-ad posters.
Taylor’s debut launched an unexpected career. He became world sprint champion in 1899 and a true international superstar when he traveled to European capitals and later to Australia, winning everything and everywhere.
Taylor did it all in the face of hostility where he feared for his life for being an African American rider. While today the sport of bike racing is still a predominant "white" sport we think that the story of Major Marshall Taylor shows us that riding a bike should be a dream career of every young person whatever the background or location. And heroic stories like Marshalls are the way to push the boundary.
Taste Description. The Black Cyclone is a serious espresso roast with clear flavors of sweet chocolate, almonds mixed with caramel and some hints of toasted bread loafs. The aroma of the coffee is powerful and offers you a delicious full body. The coffee has a thick golden brown crema, a medium bitterness and gives a velvet mouth feel.

Delivery
We always aim at delivering your order as soon as possible.
Il Magistrale Cycling Coffee is located in Heeze, The Netherlands.
Normally orders of items in stock ship within 2 business days from Order Confirmation and can be expected to be delivered to you within five business days.
Delivery times are estimates only and particularly during high season (e.g. Black Friday, Social Media sales actions and Christmas) deliveries may take longer than normal.
In case of a delay in delivery of more than fifteen (15) business days beyond the estimated delivery time above, you may cancel your order subject to written notice to us, in which case we will, as our entire liability for the delay, credit any payment made by you.
If the order has already shipped, you must first return the item to us before such credit can be made. The freight cost will be specified in the order summary before you submit your order.
We currently ship to most countries but may not ship to certain countries outside the European Union.
Please be advised that custom duty may be charged for any orders from outside the European Union.
You are asked to inspect delivered items upon delivery and report any deviations found as stated under Returns below.
In case you fail to collect your products upon delivery, we reserve the right to debit you a charge to cover our cost for return freight and administration.
Right of withdrawal, returns & exchanges
We offer you a “no questions asked” 3-day right-of-withdrawal from your purchase, calculated from the date you order the goods.
If you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase you can return it for an exchange or refund, provided it is within 7 days of receipt of your order, and the product shall be returned properly wrapped and packed in its original packaging in unused and saleable condition. We reserve the right to refuse refunds for returned items, which are not in saleable condition.
As soon as we have received the returned items, and have been able to confirm that the requirements above are met, we will refund your payment.
In case you find that an item delivered by us to you is defective you should contact us as soon as possible with a formal complaint, to get a replacement delivery or, if that is not possible, a refund. The same applies in case you identify that a product has been damaged during transportation or you identify other deviations in the delivery, e.g. that the number of items or the product model delivered is not in line with your order.
